This whole weekend I got to look at someone and remember what it felt like to just smile…I got to be close to someone I really enjoyed and take it all in…I got to laugh and play and hold hands and exist in a state of simplicity again.  There were no rules, no boundaries, no weird moments, no “is someone going to get mad about this later”… This weekend a crooked smile made my knees weak and my heart beat all weird and fast, and I thought I’d lost the ability to feel like that, and then I hugged you for the first time and I realized maybe it’s not gone.  Maybe it’s not going to turn in to anything, maybe I’ll never see you again, or maybe I will… but I wish right now we were sitting just like this again, and I was looking up at you and smiling again, and we were acting like nothing else mattered again. and I’m thankful that I got to spend a mini vacation from reality with you.
